September 9, 2026 - The Bull Dogs got off to a good start in varsity volleyball Tuesday evening at Columbus North, jumping out to a 2-1 lead over Southport. However, the Cardinals rallied to grab the final two sets (25-23, 14-25, 25-19, 16-25, 13-15) and drop North to 8-5 for the season. Isabella Rice led the Bull Dogs’ offense with 17 kills. Tania Maldonado had 15 kills and a pair of solo blocks. Ella Campbell had two service aces, and Sophie Rohls topped North with three block assists. Lexi Denny and Shelby Sharp each tallied 21 digs, and Denny added 39 assists. The Cardinals also took the JV match in a third set tiebreaker, dropping the Dogs to 7-5. North will travel to Perry Meridian this afternoon, with JV and freshman matches scheduled to begin at 6:00.
