September 9, 2026 - Class 3A 13th ranked Columbus North girls soccer team hosted Class 2A tenth ranked Bishop Chatard on Tuesday evening at Richard Wigh Stadium in Columbus, and the Dogs edged Chatard 1-0 to improve to 7-1-1 for the season. After a scoreless first half, Riley Sims scored the match’s only goal off of an Avery Baker assist less than a minute into the second half. A defensive adjustment by the Bull Dogs at halftime flustered Chatard throughout the second half as the Dogs controlled the ball and limited shots by Chatard. The Bull Dogs claimed a 9-3 shots-on-goal advantage for the match. Danika Hoehn recorded three saves in goal for the Dogs. The Bull Dogs took the JV match 7-0 as the younger squad improved to 7-1 for the season. North will host Class 1A second ranked Oldenburg Academy on Thursday for a varsity-only match beginning at 7:00 pm. North will recognize the program’s twelve seniors prior to the start of the match.
