October 22, 2023 - For the second consecutive season, the doubles team of seniors Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram finished runners-up at the IHSAA State Individual Boys Tennis tournament. This season they were joined by singles player Hank Lin. Lin, a junior, fell to Alex Antonopolous of North Central 2-6, 1-6. Kar and Atram beat Munster’s Ethan Walker and Joseph Foster 7-6 (9-7), 6-1 to advance to the Championship match against Homestead’s Alex Graber and Eric Ji. Graber and Ji defeated Kar and Atram 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 in the final match. Lin advanced to the final match by way of a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Max Fuller from Guerin Catholic in the semifinal match, before losing to Antonopolous. Lin finished his season with a 22-1 record, while Atram and Kar finished 28-2.
