Boys sixth, girls twelfth at State Cross Country Championships

October 30, 2023 - Neal Young and Carys Glyn-Jones helped to lead the boys and girls cross country teams to sixth and twelfth-place finishes, respectively, at the IHSAA State Cross County Championships on Saturday (October 28). White placed twelfth individually in 15:25.7 to earn All-State honors and lead the Bull Dogs to a top-10 team finish with 244 points. Carmel ran away with the boys team title with 76 points. Also completing in the 250-competitor race for the Bull Dogs were Akot Tong (67th place), Jace Works (100th), Logan Vanzant (111th), Draven Martinez (120th), Adam Reckets (129th), and Jonny Klaus (171th). On the girls side, Cary Glyn-Jones just missed All-State honors (top-25), with a 29th place finish to pace the Bull Dogs. Glyn-Jones finished in 29th place in 18:28.5 to lead the Dogs to a twelfth-place finish with 353 points. Homestead edged Ft. Wayne Concordia Lutheran for the team title with 108 points. Also racing for North at the State Finals among the 249 State qualifiers were Ainsley Sherlock (94th), Kyleigh Wolf (135th), Emma Lowther (166th), Tristan Works (185th), Macy Eaton (220th), and Katie Frazier (232nd). Congratulations to the Bull Dogs cross country teams once again on another outstanding season.
