September 23, 2026 - After a 2-0 sweep of New Albany at the John Breeding Invitational on Saturday in New Albany, the two teams squared off again on Tuesday evening at Columbus North and the Bull Dogs again swept New Albany 3-0. North cruised to 25-19 and 25-17 victories in the first two sets, but New Albany jumped out to a big lead early in the third set. The Bull Dogs settled down and used a string of good serves to claw back and win the final set 25-22. Statistical leaders for Columbus North (12-7) included: Kills: Izabella Rice 11 Service Aces: Sophie Rohls 4, Lexi Denny and Rice 3 Digs: Kyndal Wheeler 7, Lola Rose 6 Solo Blocks: Denny 2 Block Assists: Rohls 3, Rice 2 Assists: Denny 23 The JV team improved to 9-6 with a 2-0 victory in the early match. New Albany did not have a freshman team. The Bull Dogs will travel to Floyd Central Wednesday evening to play a triple header. The freshmen will play at 6:00, followed by the JV at approximately 7:00, and the varsity to follow the JV.
