September 24, 2026 - After winning the first set at tenth ranked Floyd Central 25-22, the Dogs’ girls volleyball team dropped the final three sets 14-25, 12-25, 19-25 and the match by a score of 3-1. Tania Maldonado had a team-high 16 kills, and setter Lexi Denny had 34 assists, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a talented Highlander team who had also beaten the Dogs 2-0 last Saturday at the John Breeding Invitational in New Albany. The Highlanders took both of the early matches in straight sets as well. The Dogs will look to get back on track when they host Jennings County on Saturday, September 26. JV will begin at 11:00 am in Memorial Gymnasium, with the varsity to follow. This match was originally scheduled for Thursday, September 17, but was postponed to Saturday the 26th.
