November 22, 2023 - The Columbus North boys and girls swim and dive teams got their seasons rolling on Tuesday evening as they hosted Franklin Community. The boys team fell to the Grizzly Cubs 116-71, with the girls dropping a 137-57 decision. Bull Dog event winners for the boys competition included Diego Coretero Tappia in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.17), and the 100-yard butterfly (54.20), Jude Abdallah in the 50-yard freestyle (22.59), along with the 200-yard freestyle relay (Coretoer Tappia, David Zhang, Abdallah, Isaac Proffit 1:33.06). On the girls side, Katie Frazier was second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:10.14), Ainsley Sherlock was second in the 100-yard breaststroke, and the 200-yard freestyle relay (Georgia Abdallah, Sherlock, Mridula Muthukamaran, and Frazier 1:48.57) took second. The teams will travel to North Central on Saturday, November 25, beginning at 10:00 am.
