Dogs and Owls battle to tie in the pool

December 1, 2023 - Columbus North and Seymour girls swim teams swam to a 93-93 tie at Seymour on Thursday evening, with the Owls edging the Dogs 93-90 on the boys’ side. Each team recorded a number of season and all-time best performances in the meet. On the girls’ side, the Bull Dogs earned victories in the following events: -200-yard Medley Relay: Mridula Muthukumaran, Ainsley Sherlock, Sanaa Kulkarni, Georgia Abdallah (2:00.60) -200-yard Freestyle: Katie Frazier (2:10.61) -200-yard Individual Medley: Muthukumaran (2:22.99 -1-meter Diving: Ella Gray Partin (172.35) -200-yard Freestyle Relay: Abdallah, Sherlock, Muthukumaran, Frazier (1:49.92) -100-yard Breaststroke: Sherlock (1:13.47) -400-yard Free Relay: Abdallah, Muthukumaran, Frazier, Sherlock (4:02.55) North won the following events in the boys’ division: -200-yard Medley Relay (Aarush Mahato, Jude Abdallah, Diego Cotero Tapia, Isaac Proffit (1:46.17) -50-yard Freestyle: Abdallah (23.09) -1-meter Diving: Dagan Kleffman (142.60) -100-yard Butterfly: Cotero Tapia (53.41) -200-yard Freestyle Relay: Cotero Tapia, David Zhang, Abdallah, Proffitt (1:35.07) -100-yard Backstroke: Proffitt (1:02.84) -400-yard Freestyle Relay: Cotero Tapia, Zhang, Abdallah, Proffitt (3:34.28) North will be back in the pool on Tuesday, December 5 when they travel to Whiteland. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.
