Wrestlers victorious in two of five matches at Bloomington South Invite

December 4, 2023 - The Columbus North wrestlers got their season started at the highly competitive Bloomington South Invitational on Saturday (December 2), and won two of their five matches, earning a fourth-place finish. The Dogs started with a 41-24 victory over Pike. They then lost their next three matches, 70-12 to Center Grove, Martinsville 45-25, and Bloomington South 53-27. The Dogs battled back to beat Bedford North Lawrence 42-28 to secure fourth place in the tournament. Individually, Justice Thornton (shown) was the lone Bull Dog to finish 5-0 for the day at 138 pounds. Cohen Long (132), Asher Ratliff (157), and Alex Lozano (285) all went 4-1 for the day. Liam Curfman (113/120), Eric Streeval (150), and Koleton Sinnock (175/190) each finished 3-2 in their five matches. The Bull Dogs will host Decatur Central on Thursday, December 7.
