August 26, 2022 - The Columbus North and Columbus East varsity soccer teams battled for 160 minutes this week and not a single shot found the back of the net. Following a 0-0 draw in the girls game Wednesday night, the boys teams again went scoreless throughout the 80-minute match to end in another scoreless Draw. North seemed to control the entire match with a vast majority of the match being played on North’s offensive side of the pitch. Columbus East was only able to muster one shot-on-goal the entire match, and it was saved by North’s keeper Max Grewe. Columbus North had a number of close calls, but were unable to get the ball past East’s packed defense. The Bull Dogs dominated the JV (5-1) game 6-0, behind two goals and an assist by Derek Arau. The Bull Dogs (5-0-1), ranked twelfth in Class 3A, are back on the field on Tuesday, August 30 when it plays host to Center Grove.
