December 10, 2023 - Columbus North boys basketball made it two wins in a row with a 44-39 victory at Greenwood on Saturday afternoon (December 9). The Dogs (2-3) took a 21-18 into the locker room at halftime, but a 15-8 advantage in the third quarter gave North a ten-point lead heading into the fourth. Greenwood made a run and cut the lead to three, but the Bull Dogs made six out of eight free throws in the final stanza to secure the victory. Caleb Ferguson poured in 19 points for North and the Bull Dogs got ten from Max Coomes. The Bull Dogs won both early games, with the freshmen improving to 5-1 with a 36-25 victory. Devonte Degraffenreid scored 19 points for the Dogs. Austin Perry ad Judah Lewis each had 13 points as the JV team (4-1) won the other early game 44-33. The Bull Dogs will travel to Columbus East on Friday, December 15 as part of Winter Rivalry Week. JV and freshman games will begin at 6:00 with varsity to follow around 7:30.
