Columbus North High School

December 10, 2023 - The Columbus North wrestling team wrestled five matches as they hosted the CN Invitational on Saturday, winning all five en route to the team title. The Dogs started the morning with a 54-21 victory over Madison, followed by a 66-3 drubbing of Guerin Catholic. North then beat Cascade 48-33 and Conference Indiana foe Bloomington North 58-24 before defeating Westfield 42-39 in the championship match. Three Bull Dogs were a perfect 5-0 for the day, including Justice Thornton, Alex Lozano, and Asher Ratliff. Liam Curfman, Jason Shuey, Cohen Long, and Josiah Green were all 4-1 for the tournament, and Jackson Haston was 3-0. The Bull Dogs will host Columbus East as part of Winter Rivalry Week on Wednesday, December 13. JV will begin at 6:15, with varsity to follow around 7:00.
