December 13, 2023 - The boys and girls swimming and diving teams kicked off Winter Rivalry Week with a cross-town showdown with Columbus East on Tuesday night. The Bull Dogs won the girls division 113-72 with the Olympians taking the boys competition 119-67. The Bull Dog girls earned event victories in the 200 yard medley relay (Mridula Muthukumaran, Ainsley Sherlock, Sanaa Kulkarni, Georgia Abdallah, 2:00.04), the 200 yard freestyle (Katie Frazier, 2:08.20), the 50 yard freestyle (Brooklyn Pendleton, 27.38), the 100 yard freestyle (Abdallah, 1:00.11), the 500 yard freestyle (Frazier, 5:52.04), the 200 yard freestyle relay (Abdallah, Muthukumaran, Pendleton, Frazier, 1:47.73), the 100 yard backstroke (Muthukumaran, 1:07.00), and the 100 yard breaststroke (Sherlock, 1:11.65). On the boys side, the Dogs won the 200 yard freestyle relay (Aarus Mahato, Isaac Proffitt, Jude Abdallah, David Zhang, 1:34.84) and were runners-up in six other events. Both teams will host Bedford North Lawrence on Saturday morning, beginning at 11:00 am.
