December 20, 2023 - Injuries forced the Columbus North wrestling team to forfeit four matches at Perry Meridian Tuesday evening (December 19), so the Bull Dogs essentially trailed 24-0 when they got off the bus. That deficit was too much to overcome, and North fell to the Falcons 48-25. With the forfeits removed, the Bull Dogs outscored the Falcons 25-24 among the matches wrestled. Victories for the Bull Dogs came from Jason Shuey (126 - major decision), Cohen Long (132 - decision), Joseph Cloud (138 - pin), Jackson Haston (150 - pin), and Asher Ratliff (157 - pin). The Bull Dogs will compete at the HCIC Tournament on Friday, December 22. Photo: Jackson Haston won his 150-pound match by fall at Perry Meridian on Tuesday evening (December 19).
