North drops a pair of dual meets at Bloomington South

December 20, 2023 - Columbus North fell to Bloomington South in both boys and girls swimming and diving on Tuesday (December 19). The girls fell to 3-4-1 for the season after the 126-60 defeat at the hands of the Panthers, and the boys dropped a 135-48 decision and fell to 2-6. The girls got a first-place tie from Ainsley Sherlock in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.05), and second-place finishes from the 200-yard medley relay (Mridula Muthukumaran, Sherlock, Sanaa Kulkarni, Georgia Abdallah), 200-yard freestyle (Frazier), 200-yard individual medley (Muthukumaran), 50-yard freestyle (Abdallah), 200-yard freestyle relay (Brooklyn Pendleton, Abdallah, Frazier, Kara Buntin), and the 400 freestyle relay (Muthukumaran, Kulkarni, Frazier, Sherlock). The boys got event victories from Jude Abdallah in the 100-yard freestyle (51.15) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.54), and second-place finishes from Gary Streeval in one-meter diving, and 200-yard freestyle relay (Aarus Mahato, Brock Smith, Abdallah, Isaac Proffitt). The Dogs will next be in the pool on January 4 as they host Bloomington North beginning at 6:00 pm.
