Gymnasts knock off Flashes in season opener

January 4, 2024 - Franklin Central’s Austyn Dykes edged North’s Reese Euler for the individual All-Around title, but the Bull Dogs took the next three All-Around places along with a 101.775-93.55 team victory to begin their season 1-0. Euler won the Uneven Bars (8.925) and the Balance Beam (9.175) to go along with her second-place finish in the All-Around (35.225). She was also third on Vault and the Floor Exercise. Teammate Hannah Perry won the Floor Exercise (9.00), was third on both the Uneven Bars and Balance Beam, and took third in the All-Around. Ellie McIntier was second on Vault and fourth on Uneven Bars. Laney Acton was fourth on the Floor Exercise and in the All-Around. Bull Dog Evey Richards won the JV All-Around, with Jaedyn Greenlee finishing second. The Bull Dogs will travel to Columbus East on Monday, January 8. Events are scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.
