Bull Dogs and Cougars split in swim dual

January 5, 2024 - Columbus North hosted Bloomington North on Thursday, with the Bull Dogs prevailing in the girls division 97-89, and the Cougars winning the boys 127-56. In the girls meet, the Bull Dogs got event victories from Mridula Muthukumaran in the 200 yard individual medley (2:20.2), Katie Frazier in the 100 yard freestyle (58.12), Ainsley Sherlock in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:11.89), and the 200 yard freestyle relay (Sherlock, Georgia Abdallah, Frazier, Muthukumarn) in 1:48.83. The boys 200 yard medley relay (Aarus Mahato, Jude Abdallah, Brock Smith, Diego Cotero Tapia) took first place in 1:45.39 and Dagan Kleffman tied for first in one-meter diving (1.27.70). The teams will be back in the pool this Saturday (January 6) at the Conference Indiana Swim and Dive Championships, hosted by Terre Haute South. The meet will take place at Vigo County Aquatic Center (2230 Prairieton Rd, Voorhees Park, Terre Haute, IN 47802). Diving will begin at 10:00 (warmups at 9:00) and swimming will begin at 1:00 (warmups begin at noon). Gates will open at 8:30 am.
