Cougars edge Bull Dogs in varsity volleyball

August 31, 2022 - Columbus North played two very competitive games, but fell just short of Bloomington North on Tuesday (August 30) in their Conference Indiana opener. The Dogs fell 21-25, 23-25, and 13-25 to drop to 3-5 overall and 0-1 in Conference Indiana. The JV team lost both games (24-25, 18-25) and the C-team won both (25-21, 25-21). Emma Burns led the Bull Dogs with nine assists. Emily Stair had 16 digs to go along with two aces and five points serving. Elaina Penrod and Kaitlin White had seven and six blocks, respectively for the match, and Logan Branstetter led the way with seven kills. The C-team travels to Eastern Hancock this afternoon (August 31), while the JV and varsity will host Mooresville on Thursday, September 1 beginning at 6:00 pm.
