Swimmers sweep Jennings County on Senior Night

January 17, 2024 - The Bull Dogs dominated Jennings County in both the boys and girls divisions as North’s seniors were honored for their contributions to the program. The boys won 135-37 and the girls were victorious by a 136-46 margin. Bull Dog event victories in the boys meet came in the 200 yard medley relay (Aarush Mahato, Nicolas Bowers, Diego Cotero Tapia, Hudson Clock), 200 yard freestyle (Cotero Tapia), 200 individual medley (Jude Abdallah), 50 yard freestyle (David Zhang), 1-meter diving (Dagan Kleffman), 100 yard butterfly (Cotero Tapia), 100 yard freestyle (Abdallah), the 200 yard freestyle relay (Abdallah, Zhang, Isaac Proffitt, Vignesh Premkumar), 100 yard backstroke (Mahato), 100 yard breaststroke (Brock Smith), and the 400 yard freestyle relay (Mahoto, Bowers, Clock, Cotero Tapia). In the girls division, Bull Dog event victories came in the 200 yard medley relay (Mridula Muthukumaran, Ainsley Sherlock, Sanaa Kulkarni, Katie Frazier), the 200 yard individual medley (Sherlock), 50 yard freestyle (Brooklyn Pendleton), 1-meter diving (Ella Gray Partin), 100 yard butterfly (Muthukumaran), 100 yard freestyle (Pendleton), 200 yard freestyle relay (Sherlock, Pendleton, Abdallah, Frazier), 100 yard breaststroke (Sherlock), and the 400 yard freestyle relay (Muthukuamaran, Frazier, Abdallah, Pendleton). The divers will be in action on Saturday at the Mooresville Dive Invitational, beginning at 8:00 am. Girls Sectional Prelims will begin on February 1, with finals on Saturday, February 3. The boys will begin Sectionals on February 15.
