Dogs bounce back with victory over Perry Meridian

January 21, 2024 - After four losses in the last five games, the Columbus North boys basketball team swept all three games against the visiting Falcons of Perry Meridian on Saturday afternoon. The Dogs won the varsity matchup 54-46 to improve their season record to 5-8. The Dogs led 14-12 after one quarter, 24-21 at the half, and 34-33 after three quarters before closing out the eight-point victory. Nolan Pickup (shown) had 14 points to lead the Bull Dogs, with Garrett Long adding 13, and Judah Lewis chipping in nine for North. North won both sub-varsity contests as well, with the JV team winning 53-45 and the freshmen earning a 42-31 victory. Austin Perry had 13 points and Brennan Hester had eleven in the JV game. Cole Dawson paced the freshmen with 15 points. The freshmen will host Center Grove Monday evening (January 22) at 6:00 and all three teams will travel to Southport for a Conference Indiana matchup on Friday, January 26.
