Dogs stumble at Connersville

February 2, 2024 - The Columbus North boys basketball led after one quarter and at halftime, but Connersville exploded for 40 second-half points, handing the Dogs a 56-48 loss and dropping them to 5-10 for the season. Freshman Austin Perry (shown) had ten points, including a pair of three-point goals in the fourth quarter, to lead the Bull Dogs. Caleb Ferguson, Max Coomes, and Garrett Long each had eight points, while Nolan Pickup added six in the loss. Connersville took both early games as well, winning the JV (8-7) game 46-38 and the freshman (8-6) matchup 31-20. Eli Smith led the JV team with eleven points and Cole Dawson paced the frosh with seven. The Bull Dogs will host East Central for a trio of Saturday afternoon matchups, beginning at 1:00 pm at Columbus North.
