February 3, 2024 - After a very disappointing road lost at Connersville on Thursday evening, Paul Ferguson’s boys basketball team righted the ship and beat East Central 56-44 to improve to 6-10 for the season. The Dogs played a very clean and aggressive first quarter, jumping out to a 17-5 advantage. The teams played even basketball the rest of the way as the Dogs finished with the same twelve-point advantage. Nate Enneking (shown) and Caleb Ferguson each had fifteen points for the Bull Dogs, who knocked down 16-of-21 free throws and six three-point goals for the game. Nolan Pickup added eight points in the victory. Austin Perry had 17 points and Judah Lewis added twelve as the JV team improved to 9-7 with a 54-40 victory in one of the early games. East Central earned a 46-40 victory in the freshman game. Jameson McCreery led the freshman (8-7) with 16 points. The freshmen will host Franklin Community on Tuesday, February 6 and the varsity and JV will host Bloomington South on Friday, February 9, beginning at 6:00 pm.
