February 14, 2024 - Nate Enneking had twelve points and the Dogs got eight points each from Garrett Long and Caleb Ferguson, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the quickness and athleticism of Southport as the Cardinals rolled to 68-46 victory. The Dogs took a one point lead after a quarter, but trailed 33-24 at halftime and 50-38 as the Cards methodically pulled away. The biggest difference came from behind the three-point arc, as the Cardinals buried nine three-point goals while the Dogs (6-12, 0-3) were unable to connect on a single three-point shot. The JV team held on for a 51-49 victory in the early game, improving to 10-8 for the season. Brennan Hester had 13 points and Eli Smith added twelve in the victory. Both teams will continue Conference Indiana play as they travel to Bloomington North on Friday evening (Feb 16). JV will tip off at 6:00 pm with varsity to follow.
