Tumblers topple Owen Valley

February 16, 2024 - Reese Euler swept all four individual events and the All-Around as the Columbus North gymnastics team rolled over Owen Valley 105.35-94.25 on Thursday evening at North High School to improve to 8-1 in dual meets for the season. Prior to the beginning of the event, the team recognized and honored the program’s two seniors, Laney Acton and Neftali Juarez. Acton made the most of her Senior Night, placing second behind Euler in the All-Around, in part due to her second-place finish on the Floor Exercise. Bull Dogs in the top four in the individual events included: Vault: 1. Euler (9.55), 2. Emerson Chambers 3. Acton Uneven Bars: 1. Euler (9.3), 2. Chambers, 3. Acton, 4. Arwyn Tian Balance Beam: 1. Euler (9.55), 2. Tian Floor Exercise: 1. Euler (9.5), 2. Acton, 4. Chambers All-Around: 1. Euler (37.9), 2. Acton, 3. Chambers The Dogs will travel to the southeast side of Indianapolis next Friday (Feb 23) for the IHSAA Sectional meet. Events will begin at 6:30 pm.
