February 23, 2024 - A front court that measures 6-11, 6-7, and 6-6, combined with a back court who knocks down 12-of-21 three-point goals shows quickly why Center Grove is ranked in the top-10 in Class 4A. That recipe was too much for the undersized Bull Dogs to overcome as they fell to the Trojans 70-37, dropping them to 6-14 with one game remaining in the regular season. The Bull Dogs were in striking distance at halftime, trailing 26-14, but a strong second half by Center Grove squelched any hope for a Bull Dog comeback. Caleb Ferguson tallied 14 points for the Dogs and Nate Enneking added eight in the loss. The JV team (10-10) also struggled against the Trojans, falling 56-28. Eli Smith had six points for the Dogs. Both teams will complete their regular season schedule with a trip to Terre Haute South on Saturday. JV will tip off at 4:00 with varsity to follow.
