September 6, 2022 - Senior Cooper Horn set a new school record in receiving yards and Zac Horn tied the school record for touchdown passes in a game as the Bull Dogs opened Conference Indiana play with a 47-14 victory over Southport on Friday night (September 2). Zac Horn was 23-for-30 for 298 yards and a school record-tying five touchdown passes for the game. Mike Hladik also threw five touchdown passes for North in a game in 2006. 224 of Horn’s receiving yards went to cousin Cooper Horn on nine receptions to better Nathan Frasier’s 210 yard performance in 1999. Horn, Frasier, and Alex Algee (twice in 2015) are the only Bull Dogs to have surpassed the 200-yard mark in receiving yards in a game. Four of Cooper Horn’s receptions were for touchdowns. Tyler Blythe added 114 yards rushing and a touchdown on 14 carries in the Bull Dog victory. Defensively, Savion Miles had nine tackles, while Ian Calvert and Osian Guest each had eight to lead the Dogs. The Bull Dogs outgained the Cardinals 529-315 for the game. The ninth grade contest was stopped midway through the second quarter due to lightning with the Dogs leading 30-0. The JV game was canceled prior to kickoff due to lightning. The Bull Dogs will host Roncalli on Friday night, beginning at 7:00 pm.
