March 2, 2024 - North’s track and field teams competed at their second Hoosier State Relays indoor qualifying meet of the season on Friday evening, this time at UIndy at a meet hosted by Whiteland High School. Most of head coach Rick Sluder’s lineup on Friday were athletes who didn’t compete in the first indoor meet of the season last Wednesday. Top finishers in each event included the following; Girls: 60m Dash: Mia Nickels (30th) 3200m: Wendy Zhong (4th) 60m Hurdles: Kallie McCain (13th) 4x200m Relay: (18th) 4x400m Relay: (9th) 4x800m Relay: (12th) Distance Relay: (8th) Pole Vault: McCain (11th) Long Jump: Sierra Newell (10th) Shot Put: Emma Beaver (14th) Boys: 60m Dash: Josiah Davis (29th) 3200m: Justin Reckers (8th) 60m Hurdles: Sam Brown (20th) 4x200m Relay: (18th) 4x400m Relay: (13th) 4x800m Relay: (12th) Distance Relay: (8th) Pole Vault: Wyatt Clark (10th) Long Jump: Trenton Turner (18th) Shot Put: Braeden Farrell (25th) The Bull Dogs will travel back to Bloomington on Wednesday, March 6 to compete in the second Bloomington North HSR Qualifier.
