September 6, 2022 - The Columbus North volleyball team improved to 1-1 in Conference Indiana (5-8 overall) with a 3-0 sweep of Southport at home on Tuesday evening (September 6). The Dogs won the first two games 25-21, 25-20, and then came back from nine points down in the third game to win 26-24 and sweep the match. Statistical leaders for the Bull Dogs included Logan Branstetter (Kills - 8), Emma Burns (Assists - 12), Kennedy Horn (Blocks - 8), Karen Dutro (Blocks - 7), Emily Stair (Digs - 19), and Katelynn Mabis (Aces - 5). The JV team fell to Southport in both games to drop to 2-4 (0-2 in Conference Indiana). Southport did not have a ninth grade team. All three teams will be back on the court on Wedneday (September 7) as they travel to Scottsburg. JV and C-team will begin at 6:00 with varsity to follow.
