Late inning heroics improve softball to 2-0

March 31, 2024 - Columbus North overcame a 9-4 late-inning deficit to Terre Haute South on Saturday (March 30), and scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to claim a 10-9 victory and improve to 2-0 for the season (1-0 in Conference Indiana). Kelsey Lovelace had three hits, including a third-inning home run to lead the Bull Dogs. Morgan Jarvis, Payton Morris, Summer Williams, and Ali Wooten all had two hits for North. Morris and Bailee Scruggs combined forces in the pitching circle for the victory. The pair scattered ten hits and struck out nine while allowing five earned runs. The Dogs will host Roncalli on Tuesday, April 2. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
