Dogs third at seventeen-team Edinburgh Invitational

April 1, 2024 - Head boys golf coach Doug Bieker’s team split and competed in two tournaments to get their season started on Saturday, March 30. The varsity team took third in the Edinburgh Invitational, shooting a team score of 330. Shelbyville won the tournament (304), with Columbus East placing second (312). Individually, the Dogs were led by Luke Friend (78), Brady Schneider (81), Alex Clark (85), and Carter Battin (86). Tyler Dillingham shot 87 for North. The second team placed fourth among 13 teams at the Seymour Owl Invitational, shooting 358. Joe Perkins paced the Dogs with an 83, followed by Austin Perry’s 89. Ryder Allman and Brennan Kushman each carded scores of 93 for North. Also competing for North were Parker Brown (102) and Owen Sullivan (108). The team will tee it up again at the Floyd Central Invitational on Saturday, April 6.
