North loses heartbreaker in the bottom of the seventh at Seymour

April 10, 2024 - Columbus North softball fell to 2-1 with a 2-1 loss at Seymour on Tuesday evening. Seymour singled in the game -winning run in the bottom of the seventh to break a 1-1 tie. Seymour got on the board first in the bottom of the third, but the Dogs answered in the top of the fifth as Kelsey Lovelace singled to score Avery Sheehan from third. Payton Morris (shown) went the distance in the pitcher’s circle, giving up two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts. Miley McClellan and Summer Williams each had two hits for North, who will host Roncalli on Friday evening at 5:30 pm.
