Bull Dogs stay perfect with shutout victory over Batesville

April 10, 2024 - Bull Dog baseball improved to 3-0 for the season with a 5-0 victory over Batesville on Tuesday evening at the Columbus North baseball complex at Southside Elementary. Blake Osbourne (shown) pitched the first five innings, giving up three hits while striking out eight and walking none. Joey Fry came on in relief in the sixth inning and preserved the shutout with four strikeouts and just one walk. Osbourne and Sam Perry each tallied two hits for North, and RBI were credited to Osbourne, Connor Hensley, Zach McLean, and Jayce Emmitt. The JV team improved to 2-1 with a 10-0 victory over Hauser. The varsity team is scheduled to host Bloomington North on Wednesday night at 6:00, with the JV White team getting their first action of the season when they host Bloomington South.
