April 19, 2024 - Columbus North boys and girls track and field each claimed big victories at Columbus East on Thursday evening. North’s boys won 101-30, while the girls posted a 109.5-22.5 victory against their cross-town rivals. North’s event victories in the girls division included Pole Vault (Kalie McCain) High Jump (Avery Johnson) Shot Put (Mariah Holt) Discus (Emma Beaver) 4x800 Relay (Emma Lowther, Kenzie Meyer, Ainsely Sherlock, Tristan Works) 100 Hurdles (Emerson Chambers) 1600 (Carys Glyn-Jones) 4x100 Relay (Chambers, Avery Johnson, Hannah Perry, Lillian Ryan) 300 Hurdles (Natalie Rohm) 800 C Glyn-Jones 200 Ava Collier 3200 Sherlock 4x400 Relay (Johnson, Reece Peeples, Maggie Russell, C Glyn-Jones The following boys won events for Columbus North Pole Vault (Wyatt Clark) High Jump (Tucker Tower) Long Jump (Trenton Turner T-1) Shot Put (Drew Schiefer) 4x800 Relay (Amit Gangadhara, Rylan Hottell, Evan Bense Neal White) 110 Hurdles (Liam Milne) 1600 (Draven Martinez) 4x100 Relay (Nathan Sparks, Josiah Davis, Matt Burge, Milne) 400 (Derek Arau-Ortiz) 300 Hurdles (Milne) 800 (Jace Works) 3200 (Adam Reckers) 4x400 Relay (Ben Stevens, Akot Tong, Works, Arau-Ortiz) The teams will split squads on Saturday, April 20, sending some athletes to the Pike Invitational and others to the Talon Relays in Brown County.
