Dogs finish third in Conference Indiana Track and Field Championships

April 26, 2024 - Both the girls and boys teams finished third behind Bloomington North and Bloomington South in the Conference Indiana Track and Field Championships at Bloomington North on Friday evening. Carys Glyn-Jones (shown) was Conference Indiana champion in both the 800m and 1600m and the 4x800m Relay team of Macy Eaton, Maggie Russell, Tristan Works, and Kyleigh Wolf won the Conference Indiana title. Boys team results: Bloomington North 156.5 Bloomington South 138 Columbus North 92 Southport 56.5 Terre Haute South 46 Terre Haute North 4 Girls team results: Bloomington North 145 Bloomington South 116 Columbus North 102 Terre Haute South 58 Terre Haute North 48 Southport 24 Bull Dogs boys finishing in the top five in individual events included Jace Works (2nd in 800m), Akot Tong (3rd in 800m), Logan Vanzant (2nd in 1600m), Draven Martinez (4th in 1600m), Neal White (4th in 3200m), Liam Milne (2nd in 110m hurdles), Owen Wilson (3rd in 110m hurdles, 5th in 300 hurdles), Wyatt Clark (4rd in Pole Vault), Drew Schiefer (2nd in Shot Put, 2nd in Discus), 4x100m Relay (Nathan Sparks, Matt Burge, Milne, Derek Arau-Ortiz) - 2nd, 4x400m Relay (Ben Stevens, Arau-Ortiz, Jace Works, Tong) - 3rd, 4x800m Relay (Tong, Works, Vanzant, Martinez) - 2nd. Bull Dog girls finishing in the top five in individual events included Emerson Chambers (5th in 100m, 4th in 100m hurdles), Ava Collier (5th in 200m), Carys Glyn-Jones (1st in 800m, 1st in 1600m), Tristan Works (5th in 800m), Kyleight Wolf (3rd in 1600m), Macy Eaton (2nd in 3200m), Natalie Rohm (2nd in 300m hurdles), Lily Miller (5th in 300m hurdles), Avery Johnson (3rd in Long Jump), Kailie McCain (5th in Pole Vault), Abbi Schiefer (4th in Shot Put), Mariah Holt (5th in Shot Put), Gabby Revell (5th in Discus), 4x100m Relay (Johnson, Hannah Perry, Lillian Ryan, Ava Collier) - 4th, 4x400m Relay (Reece Peeples, Maggie Russell, Collier, Glyn-Jones) - 3rd, 4x800m Relay (Eaton, Russell, Works, Wolf) - 1st. Both teams will travel to Jeffersonville on Thursday, May 2 for a dual meet.
