April 27, 2024 - The Columbus North baseball team wasted little time building a lead on Terre Haute North, scoring eight runs in the first two innings, and rolling to a 14-0 Conference Indiana victory. The Bull Dogs, playing their fourth game in four games, improved their season record to 12-1 and remained undefeated in Conference Indiana play (2-0). Blake Osbourne was on the mound for the first three innings, giving up just two hits and striking out three Patriots. Javier Uscanga walked one and struck out two in one inning of work, and Lane Schrader gave up one hit and one walk in the final inning. Twelve different Bull Dogs recorded hits in the game, with Connor Hensley (shown) pacing the Dogs with three hits, including a double. Brock Kintner had a pair of hits as well, while Rylan Wormer and Jayce Emmitt each drove in two runs. Sam Perry had a double, a run scored, and an RBI in the victory. The Bull Dogs’ busy schedule will continue next week as they have five games scheduled in five days. They will travel to Shelbyville on Monday with the first pitch scheduled for 5:30 pm.
