Dogs outlast Panthers 3-2 in varsity volleyball

September 16, 2022 - In their first five-set match of the season, the Bull Dogs knocked off Jennings County in volleyball on Thursday evening (Sep 15). North and Jennings County split the first two sets (25-20, 15-25), the Bull Dogs won the third set 25-21, then the Panthers won set four by the same score. Columbus North edged Jennings County 15-14 in the fifth and deciding set. Emily Stair and Karen Dutro eached served eight winning points. Stair added 15 digs and Dutro tallied ten blocks for the match. Reese Edwards and Emma Burns recorded 20 and 18 assists, respectively for the Dogs (7-10). The C-team (6-5) defeated Lawrence North 2-0, and the JV (5-5) beat Jennings County 2-1. The Bull Dogs will next take the court at home on Tuesday, September 20 when they host New Albany.
