North wins girls golf Sectional tournament

September 20, 2022 - Ava Bunker fired a five-under par score of 66 to take medalist honors and lead Columbus North to a girls golf Sectional championship at Cascades Golf Course in Bloomington. North’s 339 was 19 strokes better than runner-up Columbus East (358). Bloomington North (381) also advanced to the Regional round due to their top-three finish. Erin Hopkins carded 81, Lindsey Hartwell 89, and Ritisha Rashmil added 103 to round out the Bull Dog team scoring. Nettie Meeks (112) also competed for the Dogs, but her score was not used in the team total. The girls will advance to the Regional tournament held at The Legends Golf Course in Franklin on Saturday, September 24 at 8:00 am.
