Columbus North tennis finishes 1-2 at North Central Invitational

May 11, 2024 - Columbus North tennis, playing without number one singles player Kathryn Wilson, finished 1-2 at the North Central Invitational on Saturday (May 11). The Bull Dogs beat Brownsburg 3-2 with victories by Aya Saad at two singles (6-0, 6-0), Annabelle Sun at three singles (6-1, 6-2), and the two doubles team of Grace Conner and Lison Cloteaux (6-3, 6-4). Saad picked up the only North victory in a 4-1 loss to Guerin Catholic. She won her two singles match 6-0, 6-1. Saad finished the day 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-3 victory in her match with North Central, but the Dogs fell 3-2. Sun won her three singles match 7-5, 6-1 to finish 2-1 for the day. The Dogs will travel to Southport Monday afternoon, beginning at 5:30 pm, for a match with the Carmel Greyhounds.
