Dogs fall at seventh-ranked Carmel

May 14, 2024 - Fourteenth-ranked Columbus North tennis fell 3-2 to seventh-ranked Carmel on Monday evening at Southport high school. Kathryn Wilson won her number one singles match 6-1, 6-4, and two singles player Aya Saad won her match 6-0, 6-1, but the Greyhounds swept the remaining matches to seal the victory. Annabelle Sun (three singles) lost 0-6, 1-6, the one doubles team of Lucy Bergman and Lizzie Bodart fell by the same score, and the two doubles team of Grace Conner and Lison Cloteaux dropped their match 3-6, 0-6. The Bull Dogs will face Columbus East in the first round of the Columbus North sectional on Wednesday afternoon, beginning at 4:30 pm.
