September 20, 2022 - Coming off an emotional victory over Jennings County last Thursday, the Bull Dogs volleyball team was hoping to ride the excitement into their Tuesday evening match with New Albany. North (7-11), however, had a difficult time controlling New Albany’s powerful outside hitters, and fell in straight sets 18-25, 13-25, 18-25. Emma Burns had a pair of aces to go with her five assists. Reese Edwards added seven assists and served five points. Emily Stair had 16 digs and served five points. Katelyn Mabis and Karen Dutro each pounded five kills, while Dutro and Kennedy Horn had three blocks. The Bull Dog C-team (7-5, and winners of five straight matches) beat New Albany 2-0, while the JV (5-6) fell in three sets 1-2. The Bull Dogs will play in the Heritage Classic at Hauser High School on Saturday, September 24 before a trip to Bedford next Tuesday. Photo: Katelyn Mabis skies for a jump serve against New Albany.
