Dogs improve to 12-1-1 with victory at Floyd Central in boys soccer

September 23, 2022 - A pair of goals by Christian Cardoso led the Dogs to a 2-1 victory at Floyd Central on Thursday evening (Sep 22). Cardoso scored an unassisted goal in the 25th minute to put the Dogs on the scoreboard first. Cardoso extended the lead to 2-0 in the 42nd minute with an assist from Nathan Imlay. Floyd Central scored eleven minutes later, but the Dogs held on for the 2-1 victory. The Bull Dogs outshot Floyd Central 16-6 (8-2 advantage in shots-on-goal) for the match. Oscar Ballinas and Max Grewe split time in goal for North. Derek Arau and Benjamin Stevens each had goals to lead the Bull Dogs to a 2-0 victory in the JV game. JV is now 9-2-2 for the season. North will host Terre Haute South on Saturday (Sep 24) and will try to cap off an undefeated Conference Indiana season against the Braves.
