North’s Unified Track and Field team sixth at Floyd Central Sectional

May 19, 2024 - The Columbus North Unified Track and Field team concluded their season with a sixth-place finish at the Floyd Central Sectional on Saturday. Franklin County won the team title with 113 points, followed by Indian Creek (101), Seymour (94), Floyd Central (90) and Silver Creek (90), North (89), Jennings County (84), Columbus East (49), Corydon Central (38), and New Albany (19). Results from Columbus North’s athletes included Boys 4x100m relay (Johnathan Lucas, Brennan Hester, Gavin Bayne, Luke Spurgeon) - 4th Mixed 100m dash: Spurgeon (1st in Section 1), Nolan Riley (4th in Section 1), Kaleb Sharpe (4th in Section 5) Mixed 400m dash: Noah Marsh (2nd in Section 1), Koady Porter (2nd in Section 3), Lucas (4th in Section 4) Mixed long jump: Marsh (2nd in Section 1), Hester (3rd in Flight 1), Bayne (6th in Flight 1), Porter (6th in Flight 3) Mixed shot put: Riley (1st in Flight 2), Sharpe (1st in Flight 4)
