September 30, 2022 - In front of a large and energetic crowd in Memorial Gymnasium, the Columbus North volleyball team fell in straight sets (14-25, 16-25, 18-25) to cross-town rival Columbus East. The Dogs had stretches of really solid volleyball on Senior Night, but had difficulty with Columbus East’s front line. Karen Dutro had eight kills, five blocks, and eight digs for the night. Emily Stair served nine points, including four aces, and added six digs. Emma Burns and Reese Edwards each had six assists to lead the Bull Dogs. The Bull Dogs swept both sub-varsity matches. The C-team won 2-0 and the JV prevailed in three sets. The Bull Dogs will be on the road the remainder of the season as they head to Bloomington South Tuesday, October 4, Franklin Community on Thursday, Oct 6, and Terre Haute South on Saturday, October 8 before beginning Sectional play.
