August 30, 2024 - Following 9-0 (JV) and 6-0 (varsity) victories over Columbus East at Wednesday night’s girl soccer matches, it was the Bull Dog boys’ time to shine on Thursday evening at the BCSC Soccer Complex. The boys swept the Olympians 3-0 in both matches as Rivalry Week continued. Mathiang Kak (shown) got the Dogs on the board with a 25th minute goal off an assist from Adian Espejel. North added two more second half goals as Angel Espejel put an assist from Kak in the back of the net in the 56th minute, and Parker Gribbins’ 75th-minute shot ricocheted off of an East defender for another Bull Dog score. North out-shot Columbus East 28-1, including a 6-1 advantage in shots-on-frame. JJ Salcedo Calderon and Noah Marsh again split time in goal for the Bull Dogs. The JV team began the night with a 3-0 victory of their own in the early match. Advait Aras scored two goals and Edgar Ibarra added a goal in the victory. The Bull Dogs are now 5-1 for the season and will host Cathedral on September 5.
