August 31, 2024 - Columbus North started on offense, but threw an interception on their first possession, giving the ball and momentum to Columbus East. The rest of the game belonged to the home team as the Dogs rolled to a 42-0 victory. North’s offense rolled up 471 total yards (293 yards rushing and 178 yards passing) and the defense held the Olympians to just 66 total yards as they built a 35-0 halftime lead. He also led the Dogs in rushing, with 137 yards on eight carries and two touchdowns, just edging running back Gino Prescott, who had 15 carries for 134 yards and a touchdown. The Bull Dogs’ defense dominated the entire contest, allowing only 48 yards rushing and 18 passing yards. North allowed only six first downs for the game and forced one turnover. The freshman and JV teams will play a double header this morning (August 31) beginning at 10:00 am. Both games will be played at Columbus East High School. The Dogs (2-0) will be on the road to start their Conference Indiana schedule at Southport (0-2) next Friday (September 6).
