September 6, 2024 - Columbus North avenged a loss to Martinsville earlier in the season with a 3-0 sweep over the Artesians at home on Thursday evening. The Bull Dogs won the first match 25-18, the second set 25-16, and the third 25-21 to improve to 5-10 for the season and win their second consecutive match. Statistical leaders for North included Blocks: Karen Dutro and Sydney Ousley (2) Kills: Kennedy Horn (16), Dutro (14), Ousley (10) Aces: Morgan Osborn (3), Ally Wettschurack (2) Digs: Osborn (18), Wettschurack (10), Reese Edwards (8) Assists: Edwards (22), Lexi Denny (15), Holly Evans (7) The JV team also swept Martinsville 2-0 to improve to 5-2 for the season. The JV and freshman teams will compete at an invitational at Hauser on Saturday (9-7-24), while the varsity will next be on the court at home on Tuesday (9-10-24) when they host Conference Indiana foe Southport.
