October 16, 2022 - If you’re going to beat a good team on the road, you must stop your opponent’s ability to run the ball, and your offense can not commit turnovers. The Bull Dogs (4-5, 3-2) fell short in both areas in a 43-6 loss at Terre Haute South (6-3, 4-1), giving the Braves a runner-up finish in Conference Indiana. Quarterback Zac Horn, who statistically ranks among the top players in his position in Indiana, had a rough night, throwing three interceptions and being called for intentional grounding in the end zone resulting in a safety. Horn completed 15-of-24 passes for 104 yards for the game. Tyler Blythe rushed for 69 yards on 16 carries, and Cooper Horn continued his school record-breaking season with five catches for 93 yards and a touchdown. For the season, Cooper Horn has 58 receptions for 1212 yards, both new school single-season records. The Bull Dogs bounced back to win both Saturday morning games, with the JV finishing the season with a 5-3 record (4-0 in Conference Indiana) after a 21-6 victory. The freshmen also beat the Braves 36-14 to finish their season 6-3 (3-1). The Bull Dogs will have a week off before traveling to Jeffersonville (1-7) on October 28 for a Sectional semi-final matchup.
