October 16, 2022 - The fourth-ranked Columbus North boys tennis team finished their season with a 24-3 record which included a Conference Indiana title, a Sectional title, a Regional title, and a Semistate title. The Dogs fell to top-ranked West Lafayette Harrison 2-3 in the State Quarterfinals. The Bull Dogs, which will lose only one of their varsity players to graduation at the end of this year, had trouble adjusting to windy conditions at Carmel High School. Hank Lin lost his first match of the year (25-1) to also-undefeated senior Aaron Gu of Harrison (26-0) by scores of 2-6, 3-6. The Raiders also won the number two and three singles matches 0-6, 0-6 over Austin Clark (16-9) and Steven Sun (11-5), respectively. The Bull Dogs’ two wins came at the doubles positions. Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram improved to 27-0 for the season and earned a berth in the Individual State Tournament next weekend with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at one doubles. Kar and Atram have only lost one set all season. Parth Shah and Parth Gupta (the Bull Dogs only senior) won their number two doubles match 6-2, 6-4 to finish the season 17-2.
