September 10, 2024 - Head girls golf coach Scott Seavers will be the first to say that his team did not play their best golf on Tuesday afternoon. He’ll also tell you that there is great value in playing challenging courses against quality opponents. Seavers’ team faced sixth-ranked Franklin Community and eighth-ranked Center Grove at Legends Golf Course in Franklin and finished third among those teams. Franklin topped the team scores, shooting 154, followed by Center Grove with 171, and Columbus North with 194. Individually, Erin Hopkins continued her excellent play, firing an even-par 36. Lindsey Hartwell shot 42, Harper Andresen 55, and Ana Pavlov 61 to complete North’s scoring. Also competing for North, but her score not counting toward the team score, was Kara Buntin, who carded 64. North will host Martinsville in a dual match at Timbergate Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 pm.
