Dogs remain undefeated in Conference Indiana with victory over Bloomington North

September 17, 2024 - The Bull Dogs girls soccer team extended its shutout streak to nine matches with a 5-0 road victory at Bloomington North on Monday evening. The Dogs (8-1-1, 2-0) got goals from five different players (Grace Merritt, Avery Baker, Grace Bethuram, Amelia Corney, and Riley Sims), while four Bull Dogs recorded assists (Baker, Rachel Merritt, Corney, and Paige Terry). Danika Hoehn and Gabby Revell shared time in goal, with Hoehn recording the only save of the match. The Dogs outshot the Cougars 23-1, including a 12-1 advantage in shots-on-goal for Columbus North. The JV team also improved to 8-1-1 with a 3-0 victory in the early match. Goals from Rosie Brockhaus, Sims, and Emerson Chambers, and assists from Lily Ryan and Lyla Rager secured the victory. The Bull Dogs will continue their three-match stretch against other “North” teams when they host Lawrence North at Richard Wigh Stadium (NW corner of the Parkside Elementary campus) on Wednesday, September 18, beginning at 6:00 pm.
